Therapy and Wellness Coaching are Different...

Therapy:

  • Longer sessions

  • ​More sessions over time

  • Deeper dive into history, life systems, family of origin, etc.

  • Goals still set but may be less concrete

Wellness Coaching:​

  • Shorter sessions

  • Time-limited working relationship

  • Coaching typically only focuses on current issues

  • Involves goal-setting on very concrete, measurable, specific issues (sleep, anxiety symptoms, self-care skills, etc.)
